Brampton man dies after fall into river 0
Huronia West OPP officers are investigating after a 39-year-old Brampton man fell to his death from the Main Street bridge, Friday night.
According to the OPP, police officers, firefighters, park staff and Simcoe County paramedics were called to the bridge just after 8:30 p. m. after a report was received that a man had jumped off the bridge into the Nottawasaga River.
Emergency personnel found the man in the water after a 45-minute search. He was taken to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem was scheduled for Monday at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.
The investigation is ongoing.
