Cyclist wins Ontario mountain bike championship 0
A local mountain biker won Ontario Provincial Mountain Bike Championships on the weekend.
This is the second year in a row that Noelle Wansbrough has hoisted the Ontario Cup Provincial title; this year the finals were held at Kelso Convervation Area.
Wansborough, a busy working mother of two, races in the 40-plus Masters female expert category -- and not only won her age group but dominated the entire field of women, including females half her age.
Wansbrough has won all the Ontario Cup races she attended this year, the overall series, and two first place finishes at Canada Cup races at Hardwood Hills in 2008 and 2009.
Wansbrough is sponsored by Outdoor Gear Canada/Opus Bikes and Kamikaze Bike shop in Collingwood.
When she's not riding her bike, Wansbrough is busy raising her two young boys, Luke and Tyler, and managing her job as the Canadian Sales Rep for a San Francisco-based cycling apparel company.
Wansbrough and her business partner Jill Vale (2007 provincial mountain bike champion) have just recently started a new business in Collingwood offering customized road and mountain bike tours and clinics followed by a post ride après at Le Scandinave Spa ( www.pedal-pushers.ca).
