COLLINGWOOD - A 40-year-old Collingwood man faces several charges after the OPP raided a Collins Street home and seized nearly 20,000 cigarettes.

According to the Collingwood OPP, officers with the local detachment, along with members of the OPP's Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at the home on Thursday.

A search yielded 19,800 cigarettes, cash, a small amount of pot, and a large quantity of coins. A suspect was arrested at the scene.

The man has been charged with possession of unmarked cigarettes, and possession of unmarked cigarettes for sale; he is scheduled to make a court appearance on June 15 to answer those charges.

Charges of possession of marijuana,and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 will be heard at a court appearance scheduled for June 12.
