COLLINGWOOD - The OPP say a man in a gray pick-up truck attempted to lure a girl into his vehicle on her way home from school, Friday.

According to police, the nine-year-old girl was walking on Minto Street, which runs south from Connaught Public School, when a white male in a truck stopped to offer her a ride home.

Police say the truck has a dent in the passenger door, and a black tarp covering the box.

The girl did not get in the truck, and the driver drove away.
