WASAGA BEACH - Huronia West OPP say a handgun may have been involved in a break-in to a towing company compound, late Sunday.

Police say that around 9:30 p.m., several males were reported to have broken into the B&B Towing compound on River Road West.

Police say one of the suspects was reported to have a handgun

Police say the suspects had fled the scene before officers arrived, though police have been able to obtain descriptions of both the suspects and the vehicles they were driving.

Officers later came across the suspect vehicles in the Stonebridge parking lot; believing the suspects may have been in one of the businesses, officers searched the business, but with negative results.

Officers did arrest several individuals later as they returned to their vehicles.

The investigation is ongoing.
