Resident takes traffic enforcement into his own hands 0

WASAGA BEACH - A Georgian Glen Drive resident, fed up with speeding down his street, pulled out a radar gun and a garden hose to exact some retribution.

According to Huronia West OPP, officers were called to the man's home Sunday afternoon, after a driver complained.

Police say the man was sitting in a lawn chair in his front yard, and clocking the speed of drivers with his gun - one that would be used to record the speed of a baseball. If the driver was speeding, he would spray water from the garden hose at the offending vehicle.

Officers chatted with the resident, and while police say he had valid concerns for the safety of his neighbourhood and the driving habits of people traveling on his street, he was convinced to leave speed enforcement up to the police.
