COLLINGWOOD - Four people were charged with impaired driving in four separate incidents on the weekend.
In one incident, a suspect has also been charged with the theft of a motor vehicle, after officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Beaver Street in the Blue Mountains, early Saturday morning.
Police say a vehicle veered off the road and headed into a wooded area; the driver didn't suffer any injuries, though interactions with the individual led officers to determine he had been drinking.
Police also found the vehicle had previously been reported stolen.
A 22-year-old Meaford man has been charged with impaired driving and theft of a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 19.
A Wasaga Beach man was also charged after officers pulled over an e-bike travelling along Collins Street, and being operated without lights, early Friday moring.
Police determined the rider had been drinking.
The 42-year-old man has been charged with failing to provide a break sample, as well as a Highway Traffic Act charge of improper lighting on a motor-assisted bicycle.
Also early Friday, officers pulled over a vehicle that appeared to be operated in a suspicious manner. After the vehicle was pulled over, officers determined the driver had been drinking. A 53-year-old Blue Mountains man has been charged with impaired driving, driving while disqualified, and an HTA charge of speeding.
Early Sunday morning, a?Toronto woman was charged after officers stopped a vehicle on First Street, and determined the driver had been drinking.




Collingwood
