WASAGA BEACH – Police say an 88-year-old Scarborough man reported missing by family members has turned up in Ajax, safe and sound.

Huronia West OPP say Howard Strader was reported missing by his family on Monday. Police say Strader was visiting a friend, and was last seen on Sunday around 9 p.m. after he left his friend.

Police believe he stopped to buy gas in Elmvale around 9:20 p.m. on Sunday.

Huronia West OPP issued a news release Tuesday morning to indicate Strader had been located by Durham Regional Police.
