Wasaga Beach man arrested 0

WASAGA BEACH – A man was stabbed and slashed with a weapon here Friday night.

Huronia West OPP responded to a 911 call at about 9:45 p.m. to a Mosley Street address.

Paramedics and police found a 55-year-old man who had sustained stab and slash-type injuries, OPP said.

The local man was taken to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested a 45-year-old Wasaga Beach man and have charged him with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. OPP have not identified the weapon.

He was scheduled for a court appearance Saturday in Newmarket.

The Huronia West OPP crime unit is continuing to investigate the incident, but no further details have been released.
