House fire caused by arson 0

CLEARVIEW TWP. - Huronia West OPP are looking for a man, after a home in the south end of the township was destroyed by fire, early Friday morning.

Officials say the fire was deliberately lit.

Police say they want to speak with a man they say visited the residence on the Mulmer-Nottawasaga Townline on Monday. He is described as white, between 38 and 42 years of age, approximately six-feet tall, and weighing about 180 lbs., with a fit build. The man also has gray/blue eyes, is clean shaven, and has shoulder-length blond hair.

He was wearing a dark heavy flannel shirt with a brown leather vest, matching brown leather pants, and brown square-toed cowboy boots. Police also say the man was well-spoken.

Firefighters were called to the home around 3:45 a.m. on Friday to deal with the blaze.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Huronia West OPP detachment at 705-429-3575, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
