COLLINGWOOD – The G&M Hospital’s Outbreak Management Team (OMT) in consultation with Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit announced Saturday that the recent outbreak of gastrointestinal illness in the Hospital’s Medical Unit is now over.

WASAGA BEACH — Public works staff happened upon a two-year-old boy wandering the streets of Wasaga Beach, Friday morning. Huronia West OPP was alerted shortly after 10 a.m. after two town employees found the boy by himself in the area of Highway 26 and 73rd Street.

COLLINGWOOD — Five people were evacuated from a Maple Street home, after contractors replacing a furnace inadvertently sparked a small fire. According to Collingwood's fire chief Trent Elyea, natural gas had seeped into the work area and was sparked by the pilot light from the hot water tank.
